According to Epson: "This printer is designed for use with Epson cartridges only, not third-party cartridges or ink." As a result, we do not believe any 3rd party solutions may become available for some considerable time until the anti-3rd party mechanism that prevents the use of 3rd party products is discovered and circumvented. With the previous generation of this product (the SureColor P7000 & P9000) that took more than two years.
